Balloons over Masai Mara
"There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called Yesterday and the other is called Tomorrow. Today is the right day to love, believe, do and mostly live".
The 14th Dali Lama.
Welcome to the stories that I continue to tell through photographs and videos. It's a journey that I've been on for 7 decades and see no reason to stop now. For 5 decades I'd been telling stories professionally through my passion for film and then video journalism. My journey started in 1968 while in college. It was a European Study Tour that would unwittingly change my life by introducing me to motion picture photography. I went on to find television newsreel photography to be my life's calling. I had trained as a Secondary Ed (High School History/Geography) teacher but it wasn't until I had spent 3 decades in my profession that I felt that I finally had something to teach...my experience. I believe strongly in helping others to see the world that they might not have looked at. When starting a new Safari (Swahili word for Journey) the first person to go to for help is a good guide who knows how to see and interpret the landscape.
Finally...I can be that guide for others. Living with Multiple Sclerosis is just one more challenge on my journey. Be all that you can be!
